Everyone knows I LOVE to scrapbook! I even teach a Scrapbooking class after school at my elementary school where I work. It's one of my favorite hobbies. I came across this awesome idea on... where else? Martha Stewart Weddings! I saw it in action too from photos from Liz's wedding. (My awesomely talented invitation designer!) The main idea is that the guests will take a blank card from the mini vintage suitcase I bought and write some advice, well wishes, congratulations etc. Then they will decorate the cards with stickers that I have provided. Next, they will find an envelope in the scrapbook and place their card inside. I know FI and I will have such a blast reading the cards after the wedding. I am hoping for some silly and sweet messages! If you want to make your own scrappy guest book here's how:
1. Purchase a blank scrapbook, some 4bar envelopes, some 4 bar flat cards, stickers, markers, etc.
2. Use a glue runner to place glue on the face on the envelope and then place it on the scrapbook page with the flap side facing you.
(Option: I used a corner rounder to make all of the corners on my 4bar flat cards round. I just think it's adds a little something...)
3. Assemble an area at your wedding with the stickers, cards, markers etc. Be sure to create a sign for your guests so they know what they are doing.
4. Voila! A scrappy guest book!
I was originally going to do something very similar to this but I really wanted pictures of our guests *IN* our guest book. So I opted for something a little different :) Great job!
