DIY Update!

Whew...this weekend has been one DIY project after another! I am SO thankful to my bridesmaids and MOH who came out to help me! On Saturday, two of my bridesmaids braved the snowstorm to drink some wine, order some chinese and make 14 giant tissue paper flowers to tie on the ends of the chairs at the ceremony. After we finished, we watched Changeling, The Wedding Planner and Confessions of a Shopaholic. We also attempted to make Mango Margerita's but they were just bad haha. On Sunday, my MOH came early and spent the day with me making my wine bottle table numbers. This was a HUGE project! First, you need to soak the bottles in hot soapy water to help the scraping process. Next, scrap off all of the labels. Then, use Goo Gone to get rid of any adhesive residue. Wash them with soap and water and let dry before applying any decals. We also learned not to use tapered bottles because as you can see in one of the photos...it creates crinkles. I love the way everything turned out! Woohoo! I'm so glad to be doing all of these projects now because come May, I will be able to relax and enjoy the time before the wedding!
