Dress Emergency...

Long Story Short: I bought my gorgeous dream wedding dress at Priscilla's of Boston and spent a small fortune on it. Rephrase, my Mother spent a small fortune on it. After several fittings, the seamstress completely ruined the dress. It doesn't fit, the fabric looks bunchy and doesn't match up and there are ugly seams everywhere. It was 2 weeks before the wedding and I was without a dress...

Update: I ventured into Ana's Bridal in East Providence, RI and was treated beyond fabulously. Ana pulled out a dozen or so dresses that she could give me for an amazing discount and she threw in free alterations. Amazing! I ended up with a gorgeous dress that fits perfectly and just needs to be hemmed. It will be ready 5 days before the wedding haha. Cutting it close on that one! See photos above!

Feelings: I am totally bummed that I won't be wearing my dream dress down the aisle. My new dress is gorgeous but it just doesn't come close to being my dream gown. I think I need to grieve my dream dress but I just worry that every time I look at my wedding photos I am going to be wishing that I was wearing something different. *sigh* I will just have to focus on the big picture, that I am marrying my best friend!
